Who we are
Clashmore Mike is an iOS focus app operated by Brandon Zettek and Mark Rumsey, Indiana, United States. Contact: brandon@clashmoremike.app.
The short version
- We never see which apps you block or how you use other apps. That stays on your device.
- We don't require an account, and we don't collect your name, email, contacts, or location through the app.
- We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the app.
- We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Screen Time and Family Controls data
The app uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity) to block apps you choose during focus sessions. Apple gives the app only opaque tokens, not app names. Your selections and usage data are processed on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party, sold, or used for advertising or profiling. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings > Screen Time.
Data stored on your device
Game progress (team, points, focus session history) is saved locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes it. We have no copy.
Anonymous analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used, such as sessions started, focus minutes completed, screens viewed, buttons tapped, and crashes. Each install gets a random anonymous ID. Analytics also include device model, iOS version, and app version. This data is not linked to your name or email.

What we don't collect
Name, email (unless you email us), phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifier (IDFA), browsing history, or the names of apps you block.
How we use data
Only to operate the app, fix bugs, and learn which features help students focus. No advertising, no selling, and no sharing except with the analytics provider above, and when required by law.
Tracking
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt because we don't need it.
Beta testing (TestFlight)
If you join the beta, Apple shares your TestFlight name and email and any feedback or crash reports you submit with us under Apple's TestFlight terms. We use this only to run the beta. If you email us to join the beta, we keep your email only to send beta invites and delete it when the beta ends or on request.
Retention
Analytics are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted or aggregated.
Your choices and rights
Email brandon@clashmoremike.app to request deletion of analytics tied to your device's anonymous ID or of any email you sent us. We respond within 30 days. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
Children
Clashmore Mike is intended for users 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data in transit to our analytics provider is encrypted with HTTPS. No method is 100% secure.
